Job Description

We're recruiting a Software Engineer (Int to Senior) for the Planning & Controls Team for a Silicon Valley-based Autonomous Vehicles tech company that's opened a new product development Toronto site. If you're a team lead, manager or director in the robotics or autonomous vehicle industry, check this opportunity out as it's a unique chance to join an AV startup that is about to take off and is committed to growing their Toronto site.   • Path & motion planning and decision making algorithm development

  • Planning stack for defining the behaviour of the self driving vehicle 

  • Traffic participant behavior prediction around the AV

  • Develop Deep Learning architectures 



  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in CS, Robotics or related field

  • Neural network framework experience (e.g., Tensorflow, Caffe & Torch)

  • Strong C++ development experience 

  • Motion planning experience (e.g., LSTMs, Deep Reinforcement Learning, Deep Q-learning, etc)


Bonus Points:

  • Robotic system software development

  • ML for control or planning problems (e.g. Imitation Learning, Behavior Prediction, Reinforcement Learning)

  • Experience working with real-time systems, large-scale scalable software architectures, and large datasets

  • Solid technical foundation in CPU and GPU architectures, containers and numeric libraries
