Job Description

gdR is recruiting for a 20 person, Toronto-based startup that is building social responsibility and wellness applications - needless to say, we all need them now more than ever. • Developing our library of reusable front-end components to improve UI development productivity

  • Writing large scale CSS and JavaScript and documenting components in our UX Style Guides

  • Leading and mentoring your colleagues on front-end development

  • Keeping current with the latest front-end technologies and standards to ensure we are always using the best tools and techniques possible

  • Being the champion of our front-end codebase to promote product quality and developer productivity

  • Being an advocate throughout the company for great UX

You’ll need to have experience with:

  • Professional front-end web application development for 4-6+ years

  • Building maintainable and scalable CSS

  • Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests

  • Collaboration with designers and developers to suggest and critique ideas and prototype initial concepts

It would be great if you had experience:

  • Implementing UIs using GraphQL and Apollo Client

  • Applying Component-Oriented Programming to achieve greater reuse

  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of specific aspects of client-side development, for example animations, performance, front-end architecture, test automation, etc.

  • With Server-Side Rendering technologies or Jamstack architecture
