317 Adelaide St W Toronto, ON M5V1P9
We're recruiting a Site Reliability Engineer for a startup that has been founded by early employees (including employee #1!) of a Silicon Valley/Canadian success story that has IPOed and now has 1000+ employees and multi-billion dollar valuation. Based on their learnings from this experience and working at other large tech leaders, they are now building a company and platform that every tech company and enterprise needs to manage increasingly complex architectures and application environments. You’ll be building a platform that you can truly relate with as their users are development and systems teams.
The leadership team has significant success as impactful, early employees at companies that include large tech leaders and startups that have grown to 1000s of employees.
Their customers include large enterprises, who are clamouring for their platform to help solve increasingly complex architectures brought on by multi-cloud and microservice environments.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a 10 person team where you’ll have significant influence and impact as they scale. This is a stable startup environment with recent funding and customer revenue.
This will be the first Site Reliability Engineer on the team, a hybrid role that will primarily focus on traditional SRE responsibilities (infrastructure, automation, cloud, etc.) and will also include contributions to platform development.
Stack is Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Vue.js, Heroku (moving to GCP or AWS in 2020), Kubernetes, Sidekiq, etc.
We are looking for intermediate to senior engineers with a software development and infrastructure background.
Traditional sys admins that are not software developers are unfortunately not likely to be a great fit for this position.
