We're recruiting a Senior Software Engineer for a boutique software design + build consultancy specializing in e-commerce. Their mission is to deliver world-class solutions employing their core software design principles and development processes to achieve greater value for clients. For more than a decade, their work has helped to facilitate millions of digital and physical e-commerce transactions across the globe, from hundreds of independent music labels all the way up to global online marketplaces such as eBay and retailers such as Amazon.
They are expanding our team of highly skilled and experienced professionals to tackle the challenges of global e-commerce for our clients. They are looking for experienced developers who take pride in their craft and can help kick-start a project from the ground-up. Must Have Qualifications
5+ years of professional application development experience with modern Java (preferably using Spring ecosystem)
Comp Sci or comparable degree or diploma
Object oriented modelling and multi-threaded programming background
API design and implementation experience
Relational database design and optimization skills, including data access, SQL querying and caching strategies
Strong focus on writing simple, clean and testable code
Proven ability to write robust unit, integration, functional and performance test suites
Well-versed in debugging, memory management and performance tuning/scalability techniques
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
AWS hands-on experience, including designing for failure and eventual consistency
Experience with NoSQL and other non-relational database technologies
Experience with CI/CD models and tools, as well as “Infrastructure as Code"
Additional specialized skills such as mobile application development, data science/analytics, machine learning, microservices design
Experience designing and implementing entirely new software from the “ground up”
Professional development experience in an Agile environment
