Lead Software Test Engineer (Global SaaS Leader)

We're recruiting a Lead Software Test Engineer for a Toronto-based B2B SaaS company that’s a global leader.  Details:

• Our client is a 350 person SaaS company that’s the leader in their industry. Gartner has named the leader with the ‘greatest ability to execute’. 
• Tech stack: React, Redux, Typescript, C# and moving to AWS. Openings include backend and frontend focussed positions.  

• Exciting tech roadmap items including: big, positive architectural shifts to modernize the platform & improve performance; moving to AWS; unification of the frontend interfaces. There’s also a product roadmap that includes many new features & capabilities. 

• Their product is a SaaS-based platform that delivers measurable improvements for customers through their industry-leading solutions. Customers range from having hundreds to tens of thousands of users in a variety of verticals, including high-tech, financial services, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, hospitality, media, entertainment, transportation and more.

• Employees are work-from-home during the pandemic and their HQ is in Toronto. 

Position Highlights

• Report to the QA Manager as part of a 30+ person QA team.
• Leading non-functional test projects for our cloud-based product which has Web and REST API components
• Leading test automation projects that include evaluating vendors for implementation, designing, developing new automated test assets, running in CI and defining a program to maintain and review these assets
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to determine if a scenario is best automated or executed manually
• Defining test measurements and metrics and applying to our ongoing test projects to estimate release and quality
• Performing analysis on testing processes and procedures and provide recommendation for improvements based on best practices and industry standards
