We're recruiting a Full Stack Engineer for a Silicon Valley-founded Autonomous Vehicle tech company that has a significant Toronto product development site. This opportunity is a unique chance to join an AV startup that is taking off. Responsibilities
Develop vehicle software and backend infrastructure systems
Build innovative tools and applications, whether web or native, for our fleet management application
Build tools to help with the visualization, monitoring, debugging, testing, and optimization of various systems. Demonstrate the vehicle's view of the state of the world and the output of our self-driving algorithms
Build 3D visualization applications on the frontier of web technologies, to Architect, build and lead the end-to-end experience for user web applications
Architect, build and lead the end-to-end experience for user web applications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field
Strong experience writing modern C++ and Python
2+ years of software development experience
Experience building modern web applications and UIs in JavaScript
Experience designing and building backend systems
Experience with web frameworks such as Node.js, Flask, Django etc.
Experience with databases and cloud infrastructure
Experience with React / Redux
Deep understanding of REST principles and experience working with and implementing backend APIs
Bonus Points
Experience developing scalable APIs, frameworks and web apps with ability to build, launch, and iterate quickly
Experience with network optimization, especially WebSockets, data compression and latency reduction
Experience with WebGL or JavaScript 3D libraries
Background in networking and real-time communication
Experience (and lots of opinions about) constructing front-end applications from scratch
