Product Manager Position Overview

- Reports to Director, Product Management.

- Product roadmap definition, market sensing, customer & user interactions, requirements gathering & validation, leadership & evangelism.

- Collaborate with UX designers & development teams as part of the Agile process, creating user stories, prioritizing, defining release plans, contributing to architecture, etc.


Product Manager Requirements

- 2-7 years product management experience. This is not a super senior product role, but is a great position for someone who is one level below a director or sr. product manager.

- Either B2B software or B2C software product mgmt is required. Enterprise-only product experience (e.g., banks, telco, insurance) will NOT be considered.

- Industry experience is flexible.  Ideally candidates will have consumer, B2B SaaS or mobile app product management experience.

- Experience in an Agile or other iterative process environment authoring user stores, contributing to UX and working closely with dev is required.

- Experience with a product management framework is a bonus, such as Pragmatic Marketing.

- CS or Engineering degree is preferred. Without it, you'll need to demonstrate you can be a real contributor in working with the dev team on technical topics.

gdR is recruiting multiple Int. to Sr. Full Stack Developer (Java) positions for a global leader’s Toronto tech innovation lab. This is a great environment to build products with serious impact since you’ll be creating platforms for millions of customers backed by a large budget and brand.

You will thrive as an Int. to Sr. Full Stack Developer (Java) if you have...

- 8+ years’ software development experience using Java or another language (Scala, Ruby, Python, etc.). If you don’t have experience with Java you must be open to learning it.

- Strong engineering skills with openness to expanding your tool belt and being a big contributor, since you’ll be working on a full-stack team and be expected to contribute across the stack eventually.

- Confidence in a truly agile environment with minimal direction. Development works in smaller, self-forming teams that determine their own process and priorities. You won’t be told what to do.

- Ideally, experience with RESTful web services, MVC, programming with JavaScript.

- Open source community contributions (e.g., GitHub) or other peer-acknowledged contributions are a nice to have. Show us what you’ve got :)

 

As an Int. to Sr. Full Stack Developer (Java) you will…

- Build some awesome products and be big contributors to a high-performing team of strong software developers growing overall capacity.

- Contribute to architecture and development across the stack including using Java. You don’t need to be a full-stack developer currently but you must be a strong engineer open to learning and expanding your tool belt.

Sr. Full-Stack (PHP) Developer Role Overview:

- Full-time, permanent opportunity. Reports to VP Product.

- Involves backend (PHP) and frontend (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, etc.) responsibilities, with a focus on the backend.

- 5-7 years experience is likely the right range of experience, but we're flexible for the right person.

- Experience with PostgreSQL desired.
