About the Leaders @ Scale Team: 

The Leaders @ Scale training team is comprised of certified Professional CTI Co-Active coaches, facilitators, and learning designers who deliver leadership development experiences to leaders in the tech ecosystem. Coaches encourage and support the people we work with in developing the mindsets and habits of high-performing leaders. The Role: Leadership Trainer and Coach

With our continued growth, we’re hiring an additional Leadership Trainer & Coach. We are open to permanent employment or contract. This role is responsible for delivering impactful and engaging leadership development training experiences to new managers to seasoned leaders. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Gather client context through interviews, data analysis and discussions to ensure the training content is relevant and adapted to the nuances in the organization.

  • Prepare workshop plans, experiences, and materials such as facilitator guides, handouts and presentations.

  • Leverage your coaching skills, deliver engaging front-of-room training to cohorts, typically ranging from 10-15 people per cohort. Delivery both in person (i.e., for clients in the Greater Toronto Area, primarily downtown) and remotely via video. 

  • Provide coaching support for trainees through 1:1 office hours where trainees can ask questions and seek advice on how to apply training and work through challenges. 

 

Qualifications

  • Experienced trainer and/or facilitator who delivers training with flexibility and warmth 

  • Coaching certification (ACC or CPCC) through the ICF or accredited program, such as the Coactive Training Institute, is an asset. Comfort using coaching practices in training and in 1:1 interactions.

  • Knowledge of or an aspiration around leadership development principles and high performing team practices is an asset.

  • Experience working in tech in a startup, enterprise tech, or scaling company is an asset particularly in any forms of operational roles.

  • Learning agility: able to learn our curriculum quickly and join a team with a bias for action, experimentation, and iteration. 

  • Highly self-directed, excellent communicator and team player, with a high bar for team and personal excellence. 

 

Work Environment: 

  • Work from client offices in the Greater Toronto Area, the vast majority of which are downtown, and the gdR office in downtown Toronto @ Peter & Adelaide, and remotely.

  • Some flexibility in hours. Typically we’re delivering training on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with Monday and Friday reserved for team work.
