400 - 207 Queens Quay West Toronto, ON M5J1A7
We're recruiting a Senior Engineer (Python) for a Toronto-based Augmented Reality startup that has real product, real customers and is set to be an industry leader in this emerging space.
Founded in 2013, our client is a core of designers and engineers building the next category- defining enterprise platform situated at the intersection of AR, computer vision, AI, and human computer interaction.
AR is widely regarded as the 4th computing platform (i.e., mainframe > desktop > mobile > AR). Our client is a software company (not HW) that is building software that leverages data & the cloud to be ready for the wave of connected devices (incl. AR) that are coming to market.
There are 2.7B workers that don’t sit behind a desk that over time will begin to wear connected devices as part of their job. One guiding principle informs everything our client creates: the full potential of wearable tech is realized only when that technology works in harmony with the people who wear it.
Original customers include aerospace manufacturing companies and they’ve since expanded to other manufacturing, healthcare & automotive industries.
They’ve built a SaaS enterprise solution that uses AR as a tool currently. Once AR devices are introduced, then it’s an easy switch from current mobile devices & tablets to an AR device. AR will be the next major platform.
The Senior Engineer will lead design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications & back-end services demonstrating service-oriented architecture and secure applications development technology best practices.
Tech Stack: Python, Django, React.
